Comparison

Speybl vs. Sloneek

Both systems cover the whole employee lifecycle. The difference shows up at month end: Speybl hands the data to your payroll system, plans the shifts and watches training and medical checkups — all inside the plan.

The short answer

Where they differ

Both systems cover the whole employee lifecycle, and their scope overlaps heavily on records, attendance, documents and e-signature. Neither of them runs payroll — that is what a payroll system is for. The difference is how the data gets there: as of September 24, 2026 there is no Czech payroll or accounting system on Sloneek's integrations page.1, 2 Speybl connects to yours — over an API, and where there is no API, by importing and exporting data. The second difference is shift planning: as of September 24, 2026 we found no module for it in Sloneek's help center or in its own feature list.4 The third is training and medical checkups, which it also has no module for.3 Both handle a holding structure; with Speybl that includes attendance for branches in several countries in one system.

Grey italics means "does not have it" or "handles it differently". What a connection to a payroll or accounting system can actually do always depends on that other system too — on its API and on what it lets in and out. The table contains no prices: every vendor calculates them differently and some do not publish them at all, so a price comparison would be misleading.

Where the difference is

Four places where the paths diverge

  1. How the data reaches payroll

Payroll is processed by a payroll system, not by HR software — that holds for both. So what matters is what happens to the data next. As of September 24, 2026, Sloneek's integrations page lists eight items and none of them is a Czech payroll or accounting system.1, 2 Speybl connects to a Czech payroll system over an API, and where there is no API, by importing and exporting data; where neither fits, we build a connector.

  2. Training, workplace safety and medical checkups

As of September 24, 2026, Sloneek's help center has no articles on courses, training or medical checkups; "development plans" are an item inside performance, not a module of their own.3 For manufacturing and operational companies this is mandatory work.

  3. Shift planning

Sloneek writes about shift planning on its blog, but we could not find a module for it in the product — as of September 24, 2026 it is neither in the help center nor in its own feature list.4 For an operation that plans shifts ahead and tracks an averaging period, that matters. Speybl has shift planning as a module of its own.

  4. Who sees what

In Sloneek, permissions work as global roles topped up with per-module rights; as of September 24, 2026 we could not find the option to define a custom role in its help center.5 In Speybl you name the roles yourself and set access per module according to what each person should see. With payroll, documents and performance reviews, that is usually the first thing HR asks about.

When Speybl makes sense

Who Speybl is for

Choose Speybl if…

  • you need attendance data to reach the payroll system you actually use
  • you plan shifts and want them in the same system as attendance
  • you have branches in several countries and want attendance for all of them in one system
  • you deal with training, workplace safety and medical checkups and do not want a third system for it
  • you have people in both the Czech Republic and Slovakia
  • you have no spare capacity to operate a system daily

FAQ

What people ask most

Yes, both cover the whole employee lifecycle. Speybl is broader though — shift planning, training and workplace safety, travel expenses and benefits are modules of the same system, included in the plan.
Neither Sloneek nor Speybl runs payroll; that is what a payroll system is for. As of September 24, 2026, though, we found no Czech payroll or accounting system on Sloneek's integrations page. Speybl connects to yours — over an API, by import and export, or with a custom connector.
On records, attendance, documents, e-signature, recruitment and performance the scope overlaps heavily. On top of that, Speybl adds a connection to a Czech payroll system, shift planning, and a module for training, workplace safety and medical checkups.
As of September 24, 2026 we found no shift planning module in its help center or in its own feature list. Speybl has shift planning as a module of its own inside the plan — shifts, attendance and absence entitlements all run on the same data.
We do not compare prices. Sloneek does not publish a price list and the two models are built differently, so a comparison would be misleading. Our price is on the pricing page.
